TRUE's Oklahoma founders were graduates of the US Government's flagship university partnership program to develop highly specialized cybersecurity experts to serve in the US intelligence community. The University of Tulsa was one of the first 5 higher education institutions selected to participate in this program, based on its strong cybersecurity research base and mindshare. Following their post graduate programs, Cybercorps graduates serve in Washington DC, after which they can continue their careers in agency or military intelligence, or these specialists can go on to leverage their expertise in the private sector. Officially, this program was "co-sponsored by National Science Foundation and Department of Homeland Security, to enhance the security of critical information infrastructure, increase the national capacity of educating IT specialists in Information Assurance (IA) disciplines, produce new entrants into the Government IA workforce, increase national Research & Development (R&D) capabilities in IA, and strengthen partnerships between institutions of higher learning and relevant employment sectors."

Our founders brought their specialized knowledge to the private sector when they founded True Digital Security, bringing with them the understanding that at its core, cybersecurity can never be approached in silos. We are built on the belief that cybersecurity is a team sport, meaning everyone has a part to play. Security cannot be achieved as an add-on, and it can never be achieved through a single solution. It is the practice of building environments that are secure by design, people who are trained in secure practices, policies that support security and compliance best practices, and a unified approach to protecting what is most important to their organizations.
