TRUE employees enjoyed volunteering together at the Westside YMCA for this year’s Tulsa Area United Way Day of Caring Event, which took place on September 14, 2018. The Westside YMCA, home to one of the YMCA of Greater Tulsa’s summer day camps for kids, is a 28-acre facility with hiking trails, a fishing pond, canoeing, picnic areas, 18-hole disc golf course, challenge course, and more, just minutes from downtown Tulsa.
Projects our employees participated in included: repairing, strengthening and extending the handrail for the bridge crossing Lake Logan to improve stability and safety; building a roof for the Westside YMCA’s signage billboard; and participating in clearing the disc golf fairways. TRUE presented a $500 donation to the YMCA of Greater Tulsa to cover materials needed to support our projects.
TRUE is a proud participant in the Day of Caring each year and appreciates this opportunity to give back to our community while working together as a team. We enjoyed spending our day in support of the YMCA, with the mission to “provide everyone, regardless of personal financial circumstances, with the opportunity to participate in programs that enhance spirit, mind and body.”
